Not every conflict can be solved with violence. Some become exponentially more difficult to solve once violence has entered the equation. The Force may need both sides of life — birth and death — in order to be balanced, but that doesn’t meant we can’t look for peaceful solutions. It’s the same if violence seems to be the only — or indeed the easiest — option.
